Avoid the coffee rush in town and stop at this little coffee truck on the farm. Do plan to spend at least $10 so your wife can feed the animals. Good thing we had to get on the road or we might still be there.

We made a quick stop at Woodstone Farm on our way back from Milford Sound, and it was a lovely break. The farm itself is beautiful, with sheep, goats and cattle’s roaming around. You can buy food to feed the animals, which was a fun experience for the whole family.
There’s also a cozy cafe on-site, perfect for a little refreshment, and the toilets were clean and well-maintained. It’s a great spot to stretch your legs and enjoy some peaceful countryside vibes.

Absolutely incredible experience. Can not recommend this enough! We stopped in on our way out of te anau and luckily they were able to offer a private tour! From feeding animals, to learning about the wool, the farm and seeing a shearing it was such a treat! Claire and grant were such welcoming hosts. The farm tour / sheep shearing show is an absolute must do for young families!! Our family of 6 (2 kids, 2 parents and 2 grandparents) had a great time feeding sheep, goats, cows and alpacas milk and food; watching a masterful sheepdog round up the sheep, learnt all about the challenges and specialties of New Zealand farming, and got to see a live sheep shearing show. Best of all, afternoon tea was included! The kids and adults had an amazing time and learnt lots. Special shoutout to our farm guide Grant who made the whole tour very interactive and is the master of all trades on the farm from sheep shearing, training the sheep dog, feeding the animals to driving tractors!
